Latest Hennessy African hip hop showcase, ‘Hennessy Cypher 2026′, links Ghana’s Kwesi Arthur, British-Nigerian rapper ENNY, Cte d’Ivoire’s Suspect 95, Kenya’s Fena Gitu, South Africa’s Yanga Chief and Cameroon’s Tenor, produced by Nigerian hit maker Sarz.
While the release could have been treated as a normal feature led single, six rappers instead take turns in each taking on the responsibilities to showcase their different respective scenes through unique flows, perspectives and rap personae on one single cypher.
Production responsibility falls on Nigerian hit maker Sarz who supplies a common musical backdrop holding all the six performances together. The accompanying cypher was shot in the one and only Africa’s well-established hip hop destination, Johannesburg.
Released on August 7, 2026, the record shows us Hennessy’s cypher premise through Ghana, UK, Cte d’Ivoire, Kenya, South Africa and Cameroon in its’ regional display of diversity as one of it’s main features.
